Comprehensive
Energy Assistance Program (CEAP)
The Comprehensive Energy
Assistance Program (CEAP) is a utility assistance
program. CEAP is designed to assist low income
households in meeting energy needs, and to encourage
consumers to control energy through energy education.
There are
four components to CEAP:
-
Energy Crisis: Assistance for individuals who have
experienced a weather related crisis, causing them
to have abnormally high utility bills.
-
Co-Pay: Provides long term utility assistance for
those working toward energy self-sufficiency.
-
Elderly and Disabled: Provides utility assistance
for those individuals forced to live on fixed income
and who require more than just one month of
assistance.
-
Heating and Cooling: Provides replacement or repair
of a heating or cooling device and also possibly a
water heater, refrigerator, or stove to individuals
who suffer from abnormally high utility bills due to
those appliances.
All
services are dependent upon CCA having available funds.
